Inside Raisely

The next chapter for Raisely

We launched Raisely seven years ago to build better software for charities. Charities that had been underserved by technology for far too long.

Since then, we’ve held two views very tightly. Firstly, online fundraising is the biggest lever for charities to improve the wellbeing of people and planet. Secondly, charities need better, purpose-built technology to drive forward their cause.

We’ve already made incredible progress. Online fundraising is getting more and more sophisticated, and Raisely is now driving innovation in our sector. At Raisely, we’ve helped by unlocking online fundraising for thousands of organisations, raising over $400 million dollars.

In their time with us, many of the charities using Raisely have doubled or tripled their fundraising. Some have grown from nothing to multi-million dollar fundraising programs.

But in so many ways, our success so far is merely the end of the beginning. We see a future where the majority of philanthropy happens online, and where every charity has access to reliable, low-cost fundraising to drive their mission forward.

Raisely exists to bring this future forward. To do that we need tens of thousands of charities to know about and benefit from Raisely. We need substantially greater scale than we operate at today.

So, what is the next chapter? We’re really excited to announce that we’ve found two partners to help Raisely reach that ambition.

Raisely has been acquired by Alpine Software Group (ASG), which is backed by a fellow B-Corp, Alpine Investors.

In ASG, we’ve found a home with the expertise to help us grow faster than we have before, on a foundation of values that match Raisely’s. Treading lightly, protecting our planet, treating each other with care, and putting people first.

ASG already has a foundation in nonprofit software with Aplos, a large, US-based platform specialising in nonprofit accounting, and we’re thrilled to be joining them in the vertical. Like Raisely, Aplos believes that nonprofits deserve incredible, purpose-built software.

Together we’re three purpose-driven organisations with a mission to equip non-profits globally with the tools they need to grow.

From here, our pace of innovation only increases, and our ambition for Raisely as a powerful driver of charity fundraising is only greater. This year we’ve already launched 4 major new features – DIY fundraising, direct debit, workplace campaigns, and SAML SSO. More are in development, we’re not slowing down.

Plus, we’re hiring! We’re looking for engineers to help us bring more impactful features to our non-profits, and sales folks to help us introduce Raisely to those who don’t know us yet. If that sounds like something you could help with, our careers page has the details.

We’re so excited to be starting this second chapter full of opportunity, with two incredibly aligned partners to grow Raisely and continue to serve thousands of charities around the world.

Onwards, upwards.
