Fundraising

New templates and exercise tracking upgrades – here's what we've been up to in March!

At Raisely, we are constantly keeping our finger on the pulse and updating our fundraising platform to better serve our charities. That being said, we are very excited to announce that we have just launched three new templates 💪 🙌✨

All of our new templates have been built from the ground up. They take into account what we know works, fundraising best-practice, and feedback from fundraisers on Raisely. We've taken all of that, and created three new beautifully designed templates that are jam-packed with everything you need to set up your next active campaign, or in-memory hub.

Let’s take a look!

Active Event

On your marks, get set…go! Our new Active Event template is based on our latest peer-to-peer template that we released late last year, so right from the get-go it has a great mobile experience, and is full of the features we know work for a peer-to-peer campaign. We've combined that with everything you need to run an activity-based campaign, like our Strava integration, activity tracking, and live leaderboards. You (and your fundraisers) will be up and running in no time.

The new template has a standout design style, and our product team have worked hard to upgrade and enhance our activity tracking features.

The result was a substantially smoother experience for your fundraisers as they record their progress, and new features for you to manage your activity-based campaigns.

Here's the Active Event template at a glance:

A stunning new design. We've put a fresh coat of paint on our Active Event template to make it the perfect visual starting point for any activity-based campaign. The new template will easily adapt to your brand and images, then just enter your content to our new "The Challenge", "Leaderboards", and "FAQs" pages.

We've ramped up the flexibility on activity metrics. You've always been able to easily track activities like running, wheel-chairing or swimming. But now, you can set up your campaign to track any activity you can come up with! Want to track the number of books read or burpees...burped? We've got you covered👍

It's easier to set up activity goals. We've reworked how activity goals are set up in Raisely. Previously you had to add your goals directly to the sign up form, and then edit them across your page content.

Now you can change them from the one place – Settings > Activity Tracking in your campaign. Adjust them once here, and we'll roll them out across your website (using our new Activity Goals block) and your signup form.

Reward your fundraisers with badges. The Active Event template comes with some handy new badges that focus on the activity a fundraiser has logged. You can easily edit or add to these by going to Settings > Badges in your campaign.

Badges to reward your fundraisers and encourage participation.

Resources, right where your fundraisers need them. Taking cues from our peer-to-peer template, there's resources easy to find on your fundraiser's dashboard. Need more room? We've brought across a full resources page with room for everything they need to complete their challenge, and hit their fundraising goal.

Downloadable resources to help your fundraisers.

Awesome on mobile. Over 75% of traffic to Raisely campaigns comes from a mobile phone, so we've brought across the neat innovations from our peer-to-peer template like bottom tabs, full-screen mobile donation forms, and mobile-first page layouts. The new template feels natural on a small screen.

In Memoriam

You know it, we know it; fundraising in memory of a loved one is so different to all the other types of fundraising that it's usually bundled in with. If a family member is creating a tribute for a loved one, they don't need leaderboards, badges, tips & tricks or other "classic" fundraising resources.

We wanted to make it easy for you to create a simple, considerate hub for in-memory fundraising, with sensitive language, that puts each tribute first. It's why we made our In Memoriam template.

We've paired back many of our default features, and kept branding to a minimum, so each tribute gets a beautiful, simple page for loved ones to contribute to your cause through.

The In Memoriam template at a glance:

A new elegant design. We've created a simple new design that can feature your non-profit's brand, without being overwhelming. Creating a hub that makes it simple for family to set up tributes, and to talk about the impact those tributes will have for your cause. There are little details everywhere, from a hidden navigation on tribute pages, to a grid of donors highlighting their messages of love.

Our new In Memoriam template.

Streamlined functionality. In comparison to our other peer-to-peer templates, we've stripped out features not needed in an In Memory hub like badges, unnecessary notifications, leaderboards, and progress bars – so all of the focus is on the page in memory, and your cause.

Respectful language. We've updated the language on our signup form so it's clear for the family member setting up the tribute page. For example, instead of entering their “Profile Name” or for their “Fundraising Goal”, they will be asked “Who is this tribute for?” and “How much do you hope to raise?”. It's a little detail that makes setting up pages so much easier during a difficult time.

If you're setting up your In Memory hub in Raisely, the only language you will need to customise is your email messages. We haven't been able to adjust those yet unfortunately.

General Donation Form

For our third template we've snuck in an update to Raisely's general donation form. Our new template has a more modern, simplified layout. It's perfect to accept donations year-round, or embed in your own website!

Wrapping Up

We think there are some huge upgrades in this release, and we can't wait to see what you do with our two new templates! There's even more in our March release, including an updated general donation form template, and a handful of security improvements. You can read our full Release Notes here.

As always, we're so keen to hear what you think – so shoot us a message on LinkedIn, or at [email protected] with your feedback.

Can't wait to set up these two new templates? You'll find them under New Campaign in your Raisely admin panel.
